1.Safety net definition
Safety nets are nets used to prevent people and objects from falling, or to avoid and mitigate falling and physical damage. The safety net is generally composed of net body, side rope, tether.
2.Safety net production process
The construction safety net is a labor-intensive industrial product, and the production process needs to go through several processes to complete.
(1)First of all, purchase the raw materials , and the original plastic granules high-density polyethylene (HDPE) can be selected. The finished products is mainly a special mesh for inspection. And the recycled material is generally preferably a mineral water bottle cap, which is then crushed and granulated by a machine.
(2)Next is drawing or spinning. This process is very important. The production process requires precise control of the cooling water temperature. The thickness, color and flexibility of the produced plastic wire determine the quality of the finished product. Next is the weaving net. The dense mesh weaving machine usually used is 2 meters and 4 meters wide. In this production process, the weaving process also determines the quality of the finished product. Mainly to control the woven structure and weaving density of the dense mesh, usually the mesh density: ≥800 mesh/100cm²
(3) Next, sewing the sewing machine, first cut the woven tubular mesh, usually 6.2m to 6.5m, so that the length can be about 6m after sewing. When sewing, wrap the rope near the edge of the mesh and then drive together. The weight of the rope is adapted to the mesh and should not be light or too heavy. Sew 2 times around the edge of the mesh to ensure a secure and qualified product.
(4) After the seam is finished, it is a nail, a metal ring, which is used to hang the dense mesh to facilitate the rope to pass through, usually playing more than 20 to 30 holes. Machines are now widely used. Finally, the good mesh net is folded and packaged, and it can be shipped out and sold.
3. Safety net construction and materials
(1) Safety net structure: The safety net consists of net body, side rope, tether and tendon rope.
The net body is made up of ropes and has a diamond or square mesh. The distance between two adjacent knots of the braid is called the mesh size.
The rope on the edge of the net body is called the side rope.
A rope that secures the safety net to the support is called a tether.
Any rope used to increase the strength of the safety net is collectively referred to as a reinforced rope.
(2) Safety net materials
The material of the safety net requires small specific gravity, high strength, good wear resistance, high elongation and durability. In addition, it should have a certain weather resistance, and its strength will not decrease much after being wet and wet. The safety net is made of chemical fiber.
All the net ropes on the same safety net shall be of the same material, and the wet-dry strength ratio of all materials shall not be less than 75%. Usually, synthetic fibers such as vinylon and nylon are used as net ropes. Polypropylene is not allowed to be used due to its unstable performance.
In addition, as long as it meets the requirements of relevant international regulations, plant materials such as cotton, hemp and brown can also be used as raw materials. Regardless of the material used, the weight of each safety net should generally not exceed 15kg, and it must withstand the impact of 800N.
